Pesaro is the perfect place for those who love nature and sustainable transport. With its Art Nouveau villas, museums, and monuments, this city is the perfect example of how art blends unabashedly with a pop culture atmosphere and a waterfront packed with young people on summer evenings.
Work has already begun to turn the city bid into a reality: the Bicipolitana, a bicycle-only route linking different parts of the city, will host mobile sound installations and accommodation facilities turned into hotel labyrinths with rooms dedicated to artistic residencies.
The Atlas of Emotions, on the other hand, is a project that hopes to shine a spotlight on modern architecture invisible to the eye: Villa Marina colony will become a cultural hub, while “Sculptures in the City Reloaded” will allow neighbourhoods and city halls to host art residencies. The Magazzini Rossini will open the doors to its ROF (Rossini Opera Festival) sets, giving props a new lease of life.
Finally, a resonant forest comprising 33 monumental trees will tell a thousand-year-old story, while the Rising Room performance will bring visitors into contact with the artist Marina Abrahmovich.
